What would bookkeeping cost you?
Most bookkeepers price per “transaction” without saying what one is. Ours is a line on your bank statement — so count them, put the number in, and see the price.
Count the lines on last month’s statements, every account and card added together.
Optional. Used to show what a busy month adds.

Questions
Bookkeeping costs, answered
- How much does a bookkeeper cost in Ireland?
- It depends mostly on how much there is to do. Our price is set by the number of lines on your bank and card statements each month: Basic from €250 up to 150 lines, Standard €800 up to 300, Premium €1,500 up to 600, excluding VAT. The calculator above works out which applies to you.
- What counts as a transaction?
- One line on a bank or card statement. The receipt or invoice behind that line is not counted again, and a transfer between your own accounts counts once. You can count it yourself, so you can check every bill.
- What happens in a busy month?
- Lines over your tier's allowance are €1 each. If you are over two months running we move you up a tier, and tell you before we do.
- Is it cheaper than hiring a part-time bookkeeper?
- Usually. 16 hours a week at €19 an hour is about €1,317 a month in wages alone, before employer’s PRSI, holiday pay and recruiting. And there is no cover to arrange when someone is off.
- Does the price include year-end accounts or tax returns?
- No. We keep the books and prepare your VAT figures; your accountant prepares and files your returns and year-end accounts, exactly as now.
